Application Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Application Manager who enjoys being internationally responsible for managing various applications and also likes to act as an ICT Project Leader.

In a very short time, Magna Tyres has become an established player in the Off-The-Road and Industrial tyre market. We manufacture and sell tyres for various vehicles with a wide range of applications. Think of large dump trucks in the mining industry in Africa, or the transport of containers in world ports. We have been very successful since the start in 2006 because our tyres have an optimal price-quality ratio, which is exactly what the market demands.

From our headquarters in Waalwijk we coordinate all our activities with over 250 employees spread over 15 sales offices worldwide. Our young but ambitious team knows how to achieve our goals. The position:

As an Application Manager you will be part of our ICT department which provides support to all Magna Tyres colleagues operating around the world. You manage various applications and are responsible for their monitoring, optimization, releases and maintenance. You provide second line support for the users of the application. You help them with technical questions and offer support during malfunctions. You initiate the development of new software modules and processes. You have regular meetings with the key users and external suppliers. You will supervise the development from A to Z and document the most important discussion points. You also communicate the feedback of the users back to the ICT team. If you have the ambition, there is the possibility to act as project leader.

Your profile:

A certain flexibility and resistance to stress is not unknown to you. You have good communication skills and you are good at asking questions in order to get to the heart of an issue.

  • You have at least a HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level in the field of (Business) IT;
  • You are service oriented: you consider your colleagues as internal customers and you proactively give status updates;
  • You are proficient in writing and speaking the English language;
  • You are able to lead projects for the purpose of software development;
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Servers, SQL and Azure;
  • Experience with SAP b1, Elvy or Power BI is a plus;
  • You are a team player and able to maintain overview and set priorities;
  • You are available full time.
