Supply Chain Coordinator

We are looking for a fulltime Supply Chain Coordinator for the expansion of our Purchasing team.

The position

You will become part of the Purchasing team consisting of 4 people who are responsible for all actions related to the procurement of goods within the Magna Tyres Group. In your role you are mainly responsible for the purchase of stock orders, project orders and new products that are added to the assortment. Mainly you have contact with suppliers from Asia. An excellent command of the English language is a must in this role. Knowledge of the Chinese language and culture is a plus. As a Supply Chain Coordinator, it is important that you are able to negotiate well (commercially) but you must also be able to work accurately and clearly. The department is dynamic and is constantly looking critically at how things can be done smarter, faster and more efficiently. The team is broadly deployable. In the absence of a colleague, everyone can and is willing to temporarily take over each other's tasks. 

Your daily job:

  • Ordering and monitoring of stock orders and project orders;
  • Stock planning by means of MRP;
  • Daily contact with suppliers. Building relationships and negotiating sharply;
  • Closely monitoring the quality of the purchased products;
  • Negotiate and book sea transport for your purchase orders;
  • Administration of supplier contracts and supplier reviews;
  • Creating and managing articles in SAP;
  • Keeping purchasing procedure up to date in the context of ISO certification;
  • Assisting account managers with commercial issues.

It is a diverse position where proactivity and taking responsibility are a must. The team likes to joke with each other so with a healthy dose of humor you will feel right at home at the Magna Tyres Group.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or master degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management;
  • Two years of relevant work experience preferably in the tyre industry.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language;
  • Flexible, analitical and good with numbers;
  • Sharp eye for detail, structured and commercial;
  • Hands-on and responsible;
  • You live within a radius of 30 km from Waalwijk.
